China Industrial Output Rises 16%

China's Industrial Output Rises 16.1%, Led by Autos

China's industrial production soared by as much as 16.1 percent during the month of July as businesses including General Motors and China Power International Inc. increased productivity to unite with mounting requirements in the globally quickest expanding industrial economy.

Goods manufactured climbed to 581 billion yuan or $71.7 billion, which remains the highest industrial production increase ever following June's top 619 billion yuan, the Beijing-centered National Bureau of Statistics indicated on its Web site Monday. Automobile production output rose 55 percent over one year previous.

This study confirms the discovery that China's economy, having a gross mean of 8.6 percent escalation over the last ten years, is maintaining a swift rate of development as Premier Wen Jiabao checks real estate development to assist in easing the power blackouts and hold Chinese inflation constant. Numbers touted last week displayed the Chinese money supply expansion in July at the fastest rate in over twelve months and retail sales hit a quarter year record.

Nevertheless, July's rise in Chinese industrial production was the most minute since April and below the 16.8 percent climb indicated in the month of June. The average prediction in a survey of several financial experts was for output to have soared beyond 17 percent mark.

China's cement production rose 14 percent in July, compared with an average 8.2 percent in the first half, and output of steel products rose 28 percent, after gaining 26 percent, the statistics bureau said. Electricity output increased 15 percent and auto production surged 28 percent. China's clothing, fabrics and shoe output rose by between 18 and 29 percent in July, the statistics bureau said, without giving precise figures. The country's trade surplus widened to $10.4 billion in July, the second highest on record, and overseas sales jumped 28.8 percent to $65.6 billion, the customs bureau reported Aug. 11.
