Legendary Bobby Fischer to Sue U.S. for $200M

Bobby Fischer March 22, 2005 - Bobby Fischer, one of the greatest chess champions the world had ever seen, has announced his plans to sue the government of the United States for the sum of $200 Million.

Fisher was the first to beat the Russians who had long held the title of chess masters of the world in 1972 in the then Yugoslavia.

Years later, in 1992, when he played there against an executive order of the United States, he fled to Japan, where he has been held for months now.

Luckily for Fischer, Iceland has agreed to allow him to enter that country under special citizenship granted to him. The president of Iceland must sign the special bill in order for that to become effective. Fischer's Japanese lawyer has said that he must fulfill some minor preparations in order to formalize that citizenship.

Tax evasion charges have been levelled against the former chess champion for an estimated millions of dollars earned while playing chess. A grand jury is expected to convene on behalf of tax authorities to investigate those charges and deliver the punishment, if any, against Fischer.

In numerous interviews with the former chess champion, Fischer has vehemently suggested that an international consipiracy of jews is controlling the United States and its financial institutions and furthermore, unfairly persecuting him for not bowing down to their international power.
